I just did the same thing and it works...........can't get 2019 to work but hey I am ok with that.

HR Block appears to gave fixed the 2020 program. It installed and opened for me on the first try.

I was never able to get past line 10.  It irritated me so much that I left it go for awhile. The other day I decided to try again.  I deleted everything from H&R block business for 2018 and 2019.  I reinstalled the 2018 software and I tried to open it and I could. I have no idea what changed cause I did this before and it did not change or help anything. 

On another note.........tried the same thing with 2019 and it didn't work.  So I am afraid to try 2020 program for fear that it will not work.   I do have copies of all the returns that I have done, and I have no problem with having to reenter anything I have to but I need a guarantee that the program will work. Don't want to waste money and then have to buy something else, which I can't find anything that I really like except H&R blocks.

I wish you better luck, I have not given up, so if I come up with anything I will let you know.

I just bought and downloaded the 2020 software and it works.........I had to try and just see ........ can't get 2019 to work, but that is ok, as long as I can stop trying to find something to replace it.  Hope you have some luck.
