I had the same problem..... but when i didn't give up I searched online for GEEKS ONLINE......... easygeeks.com ......they texted like I am doing to you what to do..... and it worked...

1. restart your computer
2. option 2 batteries for mouse/ 
3. purchase a wired mouse 
4. what i found out was i made my purchases and all 3 options worked
