OneDriveTemp file

I have the location of OneDrive in my D drive. Also there is a OneDriveTemp folder.

The OneDriveTemp folder fails to back up in my external hard drive.

When I try to open the OneDriveTemp folder a phantom drive is created in "This PC"

Sometimes it is a Drive (G:), sometimes a Drive (F:) It says "Bit Locker" and it's locked

I've researched how to remove the drive. That is not the issue.

Is there any way to remove the OneDriveTemp folder?

Says it needs administrator approval.

Just don't like files if they have no purpose, and won't back up to external drive.

I like things clean.

    Dear leahcimj,first verify that your user profile has administrator privileges by following the steps below:

    On the Desktop press the Windows + R keys simultaneously to open Run;

    In Run, type control userpasswords2 and click OK;

    In the Users tab, select your user and click Properties;

    In the Group Membership tab, check the Administrator option, click Apply and OK;

    Restart the computer to validate the new configuration.

    After performing this procedure try to delete the desired folder again.

    I hope I helped, even more!

    Hello Luiz Cruz,

    The link you sent me covers deleting files or folders within OneDrive.

    In my question I stated that I moved OneDrive from the C drive ( an SSD with only 128GB available)

    To the D drive ( a storage hard drive with 1TB capacity). to free up space.

    Within the D drive is a folder for OneDrive.

    There is another folder OneDriveTemp. When I try to open this folder it creates a phantom drive in

    "This PC".   So far either (Data G:) or (Data F:) both of which I have been able to remove.

    They say they are a "Bit Locker" and are locked.

    The folder (OneDriveTemp) is a separate folder within the D drive and when I try to remove it it

    "Needs Administrator Approval"

    This folder fails to back up in my external backup and appears to be empty. It seems it's only purpose is to create a phantom drive that is locked and serves no apparent purpose.
