Hi Tamson. I'm Greg, an eleven years awarded MVP, Volunteer Moderator, and Independent Advisor here to help you until this is resolved.

This is what I find on how others got the stick working in Windows 10:

As to software you'd most likely need to install it in Compatibility Mode:

I hope this helps. Based on what you report back I can answer any questions and may have other steps to perform. If you'll wait to rate whether my post was helpful, I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Hi Greg: I'm having an 'interesting" situation with my Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick. I just recently got a new gaming computer running Windows 10 and downloaded the MS Flight Simulator X Steam Edition. I plugged my joystick in and immediately my PC recognized it. I have been playing the game without problems for 3 days. Today I fired up the computer, plugged in my joystick and nothing! I have installed the software (in compatibility mode) but still nothing. I have tried all the USB ports on my computer. I have gone to Settings/Controllers but it does not show up. It's like the PC does not even know the joystick is connected.

    Any thoughts?

    Joe
