Getting an error when opening Xbox App for Windows 10 0x803F8001

Hello,

When I try to open the Xbox App for Windows 10 I get the following error

"Xbox is currently not available in your account. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: "

My account was fine last night when I signed up to Game Pass (this error also occurred a week a go) and now it won't open.

I can log in fine on the Xbox One.

I'm assuming this is some sort of outage but I can only see an outage for CoD.

Any ideas?

Thanks

    3.     Does this happen with only Xbox app or all other apps?

Refer the article Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and see if that helps.

    Method 1: Run app troubleshooter

    Method 2: Re-register the app

    2. Now type in the command and hit EnterGet-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

In the end I just reinstalled Windows.

The Xbox App loaded but games refused to install, and the Store was broken. So a reinstall seemed the only way to fix it.

    Hi,

Thank you for the reply, I apologize for the delayed response.

If you’re still facing this issue, then you can try creating a new user account and see if the Xbox app is working fine.

Hello, thank you for your help.

After going through Method 1, and removing and reinstalling the app, it worked.

Although I'll keep an eye on it for a few days because I'm not sure if it will continue to work.

    1. I am running Windows 10 Home - Version 1909
    2. I made no changes to my PC. But the PC did have an update on 10 Dec 2020, the update is 2020-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based systems (KB4592449)
    3. The app worked again a couple of days later, and stopped working again yesterday.
    4. The Windows Store app is not working correctly. I can open it and sign in, but if I try to open any game or app from the store I see an error Try that again Page could not be loaded Code: 0x80131500 CV: +mvqCB8uDUW47M4c
    5. When the MS Store is open and I click on the ellipses ... and Downloads and Updates it tells me I have no apps owned, not even any games bought in the past. If I go to Installed it only shows the Xbox app.
    6. I've followed method 1, I've repaired and reset the app, but the bug still occurs.
    7. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Xbox app and it has now loaded up
