Do I need AMD Radeon Software?

Hey guys!

So my computer has an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H with Radeon Graphics 3.00 GHz and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics card. My computer came preinstalled with AMD Radeon Software (or it was automatically installed since I didn't install it) and whenever I try to open up the program it prompts me that I do not have a Radeon graphics card or I do not have the proper drivers installed (something along those lines).

Do I really need the AMD Radeon Software installed in my computer? Would it be fine if I just uninstalled it? I can't even open it and I have the NVIDIA Settings opening up with no problem.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Michael

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

You can safely uninstall the AMD Radeon software, the device driver will stay installed and that is all that is really needed on your system, the accompanying software is not required for the good running of your system . . .

    Hi Dave

This morning I noticed that there was a situation where you advised to not uninstall Radeon  13 MARCH 2020 DISCUSSION

So this has me curious.  At this point I have uninstalled Radeon Adrenalin 2020.  The driver remained.  And most importantly the task manager no longer shows "Radeon Software Host Application" using 15% of the CPU indefinitely.  Seems like I am OK to leave it off.

    Your thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!
