    Hi Amman

What overlay are you referring to, is that the media overlay that appears at the top left of your screen, and is that in Spotify as shown below or is it something specific to your mouse?

    Hi Amman

Are the media keys only not working in Spotify and do work elsewhere in Windows?

My pc is a basic one

    12 gb ram

    win 10 pro (installed yesterday)

    Build 19041

    i7 940

My keyboard is just a really basic keyboard and is not the device in question.

My mouse is a Lavawolf red dragon M701A

The buttons i am referring to are the thumb button which i have using the driver to remap to media control keys

The keys seem to work fine as when i disabled Spotify using the overlay they were working. and they are being recognized by the system

    Hi Amman

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

Please explain what media keys you are referring to, are those extra keys on your Mouse or keyboard?

If so, those are not controlled by Windows 10, those will be controlled by a utility installed by the manufacturer of your PC or Mouse

Please provide full details on the Make and exact Model No. of your PC and also your mouse and keyboard, depending on where those media keys are . . .
