Device driver for LifeCam HD-3000

I bought a LifeCam HD-3000 earlier this year.  It worked briefly and now it doesn't.  Windows 10 couldn't reenable it, so I uninstalled the driver and then intended to reinstall.  However, I find there is no driver for this device for Windows 10 available from Microsoft!!  But the info on the pack says it is compatible with Windows 10??? What is going on?  Are you guys serious?

    I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this inconvenience. Currently there are no drivers for Lifecam HD-3000 for Windows 10. But, you can still make this work by downloading the windows 7 driver and running it in compatibility mode.

    1. Download the application
    2. Right click on it, select Properties.
    3. Go to Compatibility tab
    4. Place a check in the box for Run this program in compatibility mode for, Select Windows 7 from the drop down.
    5. Proceed with the installation.

    My sound works but the camera doesn't, and it can't be enabled in Microsoft Teams (I don't use any other video conferencing apps).  I don't use it regularly so I m not sure when it stopped working - it was working back in mid-2020 but now in December it isn't!  Yes, for me too, no compatability tab is present. Very disappointing!
