How to purchase official OS Windows 7 Pro & MS Office 2007 Pro Plus

I am building a small, lightweight laptop that I want to use as a typewriter only. I want to reduce costs as much as possible, so I want to use an old Operating System, like Windows 7, and an old Office Suite, like MS Office 2007 Pro Plus. I have checked the internet but the two genuine softwares I am looking for are scarce; second hand ones only sold on EBAY or AMAZON for exorbitant prices (even more expensive than Windows 10 & MS Office 19). Both softwares are not supported by Microsoft anymore, and since they are more than a decade old the prices should have been greatly reduced.

Does anyone know where I can purchase these two genuine products from? Does Microsoft itself sell old products (maybe still in its stock) for a lower price than newer products?

Thank you!

<< Without the ME drivers it won't install and work correctly. >>

Okay. It seems that the main problem in this specific case is Microsoft products. How about using UBUNTU as an OS in replacement of Windows ME or Windows 7? Similarly, I would use Libre Office instead of MS Office of course! Thus, I won't be needing to employ anything other than hardware manufacturer drivers...

    Are you a scout?

<< Any new hardware you buy is not going to have ME drivers available for it from the hardware manufacturer. Without the ME drivers it won't install and work correctly. >>

Wouldn't it be possible to override hardware manufacturer drivers with those of ME drivers? The internet is still readily available with ME drivers that can be downloaded freely.

Thank you Bill Smithers & Canadian Tech once again.

I will use the laptop as a typewriter ONLY. I will NOT connect to the internet except to register Microsoft Office 2007.

I have not considered purchasing an old laptop with built in Windows 7 because the plastic casing of laptops wear out in about seven-eight years, especially at the hinges. I want to build my laptop brand new that will serve me for at least a decade without problems. It will be used seldom; only for official & personal communications. A used laptop that is ready to be trashed (at least 15 years old if a Windows 7 system) does not have the characteristics of a brand new unit.

Since I will not connect to the internet with my new laptop, I am not worried about security or hacking issues either. I need the simplest and cheapest system there can be: A LAPTOP TYPEWRITER.
