I was attempting to download windows xp from the official microsoft download link on the website, but upon entering the page i was given an error and the it told me the download was no longer available. Is there an alternate way to download windows xp?

Also support for XP ended in 2014.
And if by some chance you do find XP and a license to install it as it does not come for free, IE8 is a security risk to use on the Net.
And other browser manufacturers have also stopped issuing security updates when installed on XP.
And support for Vista, 7 and 8 is also finished.
That leaves 8.1 and 10.
