My laptop keeps disconnecting my wifi for no reason(windows 8.1)

So I've had this problem for more than 3 years now.

When this issue happens, it shows me that I am connected to the wifi even though I can't do anything which needs internet connection and after a while, a yellow triangle will be on the wifi icon and if I try to disconnect from the wifi the wifi disappears (every other wifi on the list also disappears) and if I want to connect to the wifi I will either have to close the lid and open it again or restart the laptop.

And the thing is that other devices in the home don't have this issue.

My laptop is an hp laptop and windows 8.1

    Hi MyModded ,

try to disable power saving: go to Device Manager> network adapters, select your network adapter in use, click on the Power Management tab, uncheck the checkbox: Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power. Advanced tab and disable any options regarding energy saving. If there is a MIMO Power Save Mode option, try setting it to No SMPS.

    Hi ,

no, you don't have to disable "transmit power".Try uninstalling / reinstalling the wi-fi adapter driver by following these steps: https://www.****/knowledge/how-to-reinstall-wi-fi-driver-on-windows-10-easily/

also, when I carry the laptop to move it from a place to another it turns off the wifi

sorry for not responding immediately, I wasn't free but I will reply quickly next time.

this is what I get also, if disabling power-saving options doesn't work I will reinstall the driver.

    Hi,

I unchecked the box which said "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" but it still turns it off and for the advanced tab I couldn't determine which one was for energy saving except "transmit power" do I disable "transmit power"
