    You've got it right!

    Do not delete anything unless:

    1- you understand its purpose;

    2- you have a compelling reason for deleting it;

    3- you know how to delete it correctly; and

    4- you have a way to go back if you discover that you made a mistake.

    So many people here get themselves into trouble because they delete something that

    • doesn't make sense to them
    • looks wrong to them
    • takes up 'too much space'
    • seems unnecessary in their judgement
    • has no purpose in their view
    • is spying on them, in their opinion
    • shouldn't be there, according to a YouTube video

    None of the above are reasons to delete something.

    Debug folders are common. They are created by software developers to check their code, and can be very helpful when troubleshooting a problem.

    Hi TheQuietKidInTheBack

    This is a known bug at the moment in all the Chromium based browsers (Edge, Chrome, Brave . . etc), rest assured, that is no harm, it is not malware, it just contains debug information from your web browser

    The Chromium developers have been informed of this bug and they will put out a patch soon for this to stop that being created, for now, you can just delete that file, when it is created . . .

    Hi TheQuietKidInTheBack

    I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

    Rest assured, a debug file or folder is not malware, or anything like that, it is just a remnant of some process that did not run correctly on your PC

    Are you seeing that on your Desktop, if not where are you seeing that?
