Hi,

I have dell XPS 9700 running

Windows 10 Home

Version 20H2

Installed on ‎1/‎2/‎2021

OS build 19042.685

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

The realtek high defintion audio driver is not showing under Device Manager >> Sound, Video and game controllers.

Please let me know how can I fix this.

This is not allowing me to enable the spatial sound on the laptop.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Jashanjit

    Good Day Jashanjit,

I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, can you please try to check it in the device manager.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

-Expand the Audio input and output or the Sound and Video Game Controller and check if the Realtek Driver is present.

If not, you can proceed with these steps.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

-Expand the Sound and Video Game Controller

-Look for Audio driver that was installed

    -Right click and Update

-Look for "Browse my computer for driver

-Let me pick drivers available drivers

-Choose the Realtek driver if its present.

    -Restart

If issue persist, perform Repair Upgrade , this will re-install the Windows without affecting your files and apps, it will repair and replace any corrupted system files.

Step 1: Download Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

    Step 2: Run MediaCreationTool.exe.

Step 3: Choose "Upgrade this PC now".

Step 4: Select "Keep personal files and apps".

    Step 4: Let it install

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    With Warm Regards,

    Carlo T.

Thanks Joseph. Yes I have already installed Realtek driver from the Dell website. But it doesn't show under device manager instead it shows up under Control Panel. Please see below.

My main issue is with spatial sound not getting enabled with the laptop speakers. Please see below. I have tired factory reset and update driver and all the other things but spatial sound is not getting enabled.

    Please advise.
