Hi,

So Ive had this issue for a while. I have been watching videos on youtube only to then have my monitor completely shut off, i still hear the sounds playing then it comes back after a few seconds. I was lucky enough to get a 3080 and when i first got it i had this on going issue. I  RMA'd the first time i it because I was afraid it was a gpu problem. While i waited for my 3080 to come back i was using a 1060 and while checking my reliability history i saw that i continued having a notification about a hardware error with windows (it should be noted i never had the screen go black for me while i watched videos on that. It looks like this:

I returned the gpu got a new one. As soon as i started using it my screen went black watching youtube after id say 15 min. Before hand i was on netflix watching a show for an hour with no problem. Its never happened in a game. Ive seen it may be my motherboard or power supply which sucks but idk. I am also really hoping its not my gpu since ive already returned it and got a new one. Ive also made sure to install the latest drivers of everything and update windows as well as completely reboot my entire system. Im sure ive forgotten more details so im sorry but im new at this. Here are my specs:

Monitor: LG 27850 B

Cpu: i9-9900k

gpu: 3080 FE

Motherboard: gyg Aorus pro wifi

i have found the issue. had the same problem but it seemed to be with both youtube an netflix also it would sometimes just freeze then Restart. i run all asus products in my RIG including the new 3080ASUS.

Right click on your desktop then head down to display settings an click that. now scroll down till you get to Graphics settings on your display settings. Click that.

Now Turn these both on. there should be two options

    Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling.
    on
    An Variable Refresh rate.
    on.

    Problem should be fixed.

Also for the Recored i am also running a 4k asus 43inch 1000HDR at 4k 144hz Monitor so i was pritty pissed.

took me so long to figure this out an how many trips to pb tech lol anyways hope this helps it helped me. GL Please forward this to all others having the same issue.

    Hi JoshuaGrosso,

I'm Paul, an Independent Advisor and a Windows 10 expert. I hope I can help you with your concern.

Please upload the minidump files so that I can get additional information regarding the BSOD error.

    1. Open Windows File Explorer
    2. Go to C:\Windows\Minidump
    3. Zip those files
    4. Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.).
    5. Then share the link here.

    Thanks.
