I will not respond normally to an all caps question.....
Windows 7 is not dead. It works just fine. Microsoft no longer provides updates to it, and that includes security updates. Consequently, there is a heightened risk. If a virus comes along that takes advantage of a feature in Windows 7 which allows it and that feature became known AFTER the end of these updates (Jan 14, 2020), then your computer may be infected.
However, if you are conservative about how you use the Internet and use a top-notch antivirus program, you can minimize that risk. I would not recommend this to any enterprise installation, but for the typical home user, it may be worth keeping a Windows 7 system working for a while longer. Especially if cash is short and your physical hardware works just fine.
In time, the suppliers that provide software for Windows 7, will discontinue that service and then you will no longer find Windows 7 useful.
