how to chnage language setting for apps and websites

Today I have discovered that my apps, such as mail, are showing in Japanese. When I go to settings it shows all languages as UK English aside from the box labelled Apps and Websites. I have tried left and right clicking on the box to change the preference but nothing happens.

I have not downloaded the Japanese package on this laptop, although my wife has done so on our PC which is also registered under my email account, which is the only link I can think.

Suggestions?

All regions settings appear as UK.

I seen reference to settings in the store but apart from anything else, it is in Japanese, which I do not read or speak.

    Hi MarkG2021,

I am Jaspreet Singh an independent advisor.

When you click on the box labelled Apps and websites it will highlight a bar at the lower part of the screen. click on the language that is selected in the bar (it should be Japanese) and you should see an arrow up and an arrow down. click on down arrow untill the language you want is at the top most. Then close settings and restart the system.

here is a video I made explaining it all. https://1drv.ms/v/s!At2Hur_8KeBSnDeCasWxMmEt9oRn
