Update: I bought a mini wireless USB adapter. It's an usb-like device which picks up the wifi for my laptop. It itself is the wifi driver. Works perfectly. Came with a cd-rom but wasnt needed. Plug in and works immediately. No installation stuff necessairy. €10 - can recommend anyone without a (working) wireless driver.
my laptop does not have a wireless network adapter anymore
Yesterday my wifi was working fine. Today, the option ''wifi'' was all of the sudden missing. I did not turn my laptop off at night (as I almost never do). Even the option ''wifi'' is missing within my settings (settings>network&internet>missing). Within
my device manager, there is not even a wireless network adapter installed (anymore - I must assume it was there untill today)! See screenshot. I tried so much internet troubleshooting and ''try this'' but nothing works. Help

2021-01-13T16:02:27+00:00 Good Day Nardovan,
My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.
I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.
Here's the steps you can try.
-Press Windows key + X
-Go to Settings
-Click Update and Security
-Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter.
-Look for Internet Connection and run the troubleshooter.
Once done proceed with these steps.
-Press Windows key + X
-Go to Device Manager
-Click Action then "Scan for Hardware Changes"
Restart your computer and check if you can now connect.
If issue persist, let's download and install the wireless driver from the manufacturers website, what is the exact model of your computer for me to check the updated driver.
I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.
With Warm Regards,
Carlo T.

2021-01-14T03:48:19+00:00 Good Day Nardovan,
You need to uninstall the two wifi direct virtual adapter in the device manager.
Once they are uninstalled go to this link and download the driver
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp...
Once downloaded restart and check if you can now connect.
If issue persist perform Repair Upgrade , this will re-install the Windows without affecting your files and apps, it will repair and replace any corrupted system files.
Step 1: Download Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
Step 2: Run MediaCreationTool.exe.
Step 3: Choose "Upgrade this PC now".
Step 4: Select "Keep personal files and apps".
Step 4: Let it install
Please let me know how it goes.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.
Sincerely,
Carlo T.

2021-01-13T18:30:25+00:00 Hey there Carlo, thanks for your help!
The troubleshooter did not help. It just says I should try ethernet. Ethernet cable (ofc) does work, but ethernet is no wifi ;)
I tried installing a wireless driver, but did not come far, so maybe we can try it together yeah. Im running a HP Pavilion Notebook PC 15-p241nd (energy star) with serienumber: 5CD4497BBC and product code/model: L0Y44EA (64 bit windows 10)
I downloaded Download voor TL-WR940N | TP-Link Nederland (tp-link.com) and Download Windows® 10 Wi-Fi Drivers for Intel® Wireless Adapters (both links to the download, not actual downloads if you're worried) and ran both. after this I checked on my laptop: in ''device manager>scan>check for hardware changes'' but nothing new showed up, so maybe I did something wrong.
