Game for windows live don't run

I can't install Game for windows live on my new PC (windows 10) and as a result I can't launch Fallout 3 and other game that requires game for windows live, why ? how to solve that ?

    What copy of FO3 are you using ? Disc or download Steam or other online retailer ?

    What is the other game ?

    GFWL was a p.i.t.a even before MS dropped it some years ago, but the GFWL setup on the games disc is out of date,

    so if you have not already, try installing the version in the direct Steam link below.

    I don't know why, but some games that used GFWL are worse that others, so even with that version of GFWL you may need

    to use an xliveless fix (a hacked xlive.dll file) or the GFWL Disabler tool which can be found at the Nexus.

    I don't have a link for the disabler, but you should be able to find your way to the mods section via their forum.

    • If you are using the disc based version of the game read my second post  --here--  for disc based fixes.

    Also patch the game to at least v1.5  - Fallout 3 : Patches, Updates, Addons, Downloads (The Patches Scrolls)

    • ??? . What installer and where is 'here' ?

    If 'here' is the MS Store. No, I wouldn't download a game from the MS Store. Any online retailer not MS.

    If you are referring to the links I provided above... Of course. That's why I provided those links.

    • Note; the original disc based copy of FO3 is not linked to Steam or any other on line game retailer, so it would not

    automatically update. Patches have to be installed manually.

    It is possible that newer releases on disc may be pre-patched, but probably still not linked to Steam, etc.

    This is due to a lack of direction at Microsoft. Now they are refocused but left GFWL twisting in the wind.

    Usually any game is installed from DVD will trigger a download for an update

    It's okay that GFWL srevrea themselves do not work, but do you advise downloading the installer here? : D
