Lenovo laptop won't wake up from sleep mode.

Hello, people.

My laptop doesn't wake up from sleep mode. If i leave it on for 30 minutes without touching the mouse or the keyboard, it will go automatically into sleep mode. If I do not move the mouse in 5 minutes after it giving me the black screen, it will not wake up until I shut it down from the power button.

I have this laptop since November 2019. It's a Lenovo 330s AMD Ryzen 5 model. I tried everything i found and it didn't solve it.

This problem happens if I close the lid too, but it is a  bit different. If I close the lid, the screen will go black (sleep mode), and if I open up the lid, it will still be black and even if I press on my keyboard or on my mouse it'll stay like that.

Am I doing something wrong?

    Hello Sabina_, welcome to the Microsoft community, my name is Luiz Cruz, an independent consultant and I would be happy to help you.

    Regarding your problem, I already had this problem myself and solved it as follows:

    Click on the start menu with the right button and access the Device Manager;

    Click the arrow> System devices;

    Look in the list for "Intel Management Engine Interface" and right-click to select properties;

    Click on the "Driver" tab;

    Click on "Revert Driver";

    After performing this procedure, restart your pc and check if the problem has been solved.

    I hope I helped, even more!

    Dear Sabina_,before proceeding with updating the drivers, follow the instructions below:

    Check for new updates on Windows Update:

    1: Open the Windows 10 "Start" menu and select the "Settings" item.

    2: then select the "Update and Security" option.

    3: in the "Windows Update" section, click "Check for updates".

    4: If there are no updates, the message "You are up to date" will be displayed.

    5: if there is any pending system update, the message "Features update for Windows 10 ..." will be displayed, then click on the "Download and install" item to start the system update.

    6: wait for the update download to finish and restart the PC, or schedule a restart to be able to finish the procedure.

    Make a clean boot:

    Clean boot serves to determine whether a background program is interfering with the system or optimizing system loading.

    1. Press the Windows + R keys, type msconfig and click OK;
    2. In the System Configuration window, click on the services tab;
    3. At the bottom of the screen, check the Hide all Microsoft services box and click Disable all;
    4. Now click on the Programs Startup tab and on Open Task Manager;
    5. When loading the task manager, click on the start tab and disable all non-Microsoft programs (right-click on the program and choose disable), close the Task Manager and click OK on system configuration and restart computer if requested.

    NOTE: This procedure disables all third party services and programs. You can later, if the problem is solved in this way, selectively enable the programs and services that will start with Windows, instead of keeping all disabled. If the problem returns after activating the startup of a specific service or program, the problem is exactly in the startup of this software and it is recommended to remove it.

    Run the Windows repair tools:

    Press the Windows + X keys, select Command Prompt (Admin), copy and paste the commands below and press enter after each command.

    Sfc /ScanNow

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

    Wait for the process to finish and restart the pc;

    I hope I helped, even more!

    Dear Sabina_,AMD does not really have this driver, in which case I recommend that you go to the Lenovo website and update all available drivers, here > https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/products/lap...

    Check if this is the real model of your notebook, if you are not going to perform a search by serial number.

    You can opt for manual or automatic installation;

    If you are not confident in performing this procedure manually, I suggest that you click on "Automatic Driver Update" and click on "Start Scan"

    The application will scan and indicate which drivers need updating.

    I hope I helped, even more!
