So I just recently realized that holding fn and pressing windows key disables my windows key, but what does it exactly do?  Is there a way to disable this keyboard shortcut?  Also, can I find this in settings?

Some gaming keyboards have an option to disable the Windows key via fn to help prevent accidentally hitting the Windows key

and minimizing, or Windowing the game in the process.

fn is commonly used as a switch between the default F key functions and 'custom' functions.

Those functions depend on the brand and model keyboard. Some use fn for multimedia functions, and other allow for

personalized custom functions on the F keys that are not designated for multimedia.

Hi, I am Van. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be glad to help you today.

Unfortunately, we cannot disable it in Windows. Because the Fn key+Win key is by design and configured by the hardware manufacturer.

You can check though if the keyboard has a utility tool that can edit the Fn key from the manufacturer's website. Otherwise, it is the default function and altering it is not possible.

    Best regards,

    Van
