Upgrade Dell Latitude E6530 from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro

Available comments indicate I should download applicable drivers from the computer manufacturer before I download the Windows update.  There are a bunch of drivers listed on the Dell website.  Which specific drivers do I need to download before proceeding?

If you want to install Windows 10 you will  have to download the Windows 10 drivers for it.

You are the one who knows if you have 32bit or 64bit architecture.

Dell supplies both for that model number listed at their website:

And if you have Windows 7 32bit you can't upgrade to Windows 10 64bit; it has to be done by a clean install of 10.

The free upgrade offer was for 32 > 32 and 64 > 64.

You may or may not still get 10 for free, but you first have to see if 10 is compatible with your device.

The free upgrade to Windows 10 offer from Microsoft expired on the 29th July, 2016.

You will have to contact MS support and they may be able to assist you with a free upgrade to 10..

If you read those Microsoft's system requirements for 10, you will find that if you only go on them you will be sadly disappointed in performance.

For reasonable performance should have at least:

2 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor.

4 gigabyte (GB) of RAM for 32-bit or 8 GB for 64-bit

500GB hard drive

DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
