Hello MikaellaMendoza, welcome to the Microsoft community, my name is Luiz Cruz, an independent consultant and I would be happy to help you.
These procedures are correct, you can try without problems, however I suggest some procedures to try to solve the problem:
Step 1: Use the last valid configuration to start Windows.
When starting the computer using the last valid configuration, the computer will start with the configuration the last time the computer was successfully started. To do this, perform the following steps:
Turn on the computer, press and hold the F8 or F9 button (depends on the manufacturer). If the Windows logo appears, you will need to try again when shutting down and restarting your computer;
On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the keys to select Last Known Good Configuration (Advanced), then press Enter. Windows will start normally.
If you are still unable to successfully start Windows, go to step 2.
Step 2
- Restart the computer using the computer's power button. Do one of the following:
If the computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as the computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to test again, waiting for the Windows logon prompt to appear and then shutting down and restarting the computer.
If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to repair, and then press and hold F8.
- On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Repair your computer, then press Enter;
- Select a keyboard layout and then click Next;
- On the System recovery options menu, click Startup repair, then follow the instructions on the screen.
I hope I have helped, if you don't solve it that way, post again and we will try new solutions.
See you!
