Hi HPC. I'm Greg, awarded MVP for eleven years, Volunteer Moderator, and Independent Advisor here to help you until this is resolved.

I would not buy anything from that site. They are almost certainly not legitimate. Even if they activated for awhile, that would just mean they are Volume License Keys which can only legally be used by organizations, they would expire when they couldn't connect to the company's server to reactivate periodically.

There is more explanation for this here:

I would buy retail keys only from major retailers who back all sales, or directly from Microsoft here:

You may still be to get free Windows 10:

    I hope it helps.

    Hi Greg

Your feedback is invaluable and has kept me from being scammed.

How can I verify that my Widows 7 Pro Key is still valid, and if it is, can it be used to activate a Widows 10 Pro download/installation?

    Thanks and best regards

    Harry

Hi HPC. I'm Greg, awarded MVP for eleven years, Volunteer Moderator, and Independent Advisor here to help you until this is resolved.

I don't know what a certified reseller is. I cannot find anything for the one you mention. Can you post back a URL for where they are doing business?

There are certified Refurbishers of used computers that Microsoft certifies to be able to package with them discount refurbisher keys: https://www.ifixit.com/Wiki/Microsoft_Refurbish...

Generally discount retail keys are bogus in WIndows 10 because there are no deep discounts for WIndows 10 retail.  More deeply discounted OEM keys are packaged with pre-built PC's at the factory , usually in Windows 10 with the key embedded in the OEM-BIOS chip.

I would buy retail keys only from major retailers who back all sales, or directly from Microsoft here:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/windows-10-ho...

I hope this helps. Based on what you report back I can answer any questions and may have other steps to perform.
