Displayport not connecting

Hello,

I have the ASUS VG248QE monitor and I have a displayport cable but when I use displayport it says "no signal."   It works just fine on HDMI but displayport wont work.  I've tried the unplug wait 30 seconds trick and it doesn't work.  Its also plugged into my GPU not motherboard so that isn't the issue.

Hopefully you guys can help!

    Hello,

I tried your solution 3 different times but with no results.  This was the method I had tried a few days ago.

Do you know any other reason this could be an issue?

I'm really sorry to hear about this problem.

This problem has some possibilities, the first one we tried and it has not been solved.

Some monitors have the option to disable the DisplayPort, also other situations that can cause this, is the cable, the version of the cable is not compatible.

The Ideal would be to test all the possibilities to discard them, but in the last case it still does not work, it would be interesting to take to a reliable assistance for a deep analysis of hardware.

    I await news.

    Thanks for the information Alex.

There is a known bug in DP, please check if it is not your case.

Unplug the computer and the monitor from the wall outlet for 5 minutes, after that, turn them on and check if the image appears.

Do not leave HDMI connected, only DisplayPort.

    I await news.

    Thank you,

I did switch the display output and when I did the "no signal" would come up.  Unfortunately I don't have another PC or computer to test it on.

The problem is that the displayport says "no signal" and I can't get it to connect through displayport.

    hopefully that clears it up?

    Hello Alex, how are you?

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community!

My name is Paloma B., I'm an independent advisor, I'm here to help you in the best possible way.

This is an open community, whenever you need you can share the problem so that possible repairs are suggested.

Could you give more information about the problem, please?

Please let me know if after changing the displayport, did you change the video input on your monitor?

Some monitors, it may be necessary to manually change the Input of the monitor, to understand that it will be reproduced by the displayport for example.

I also recommend, if possible, testing the monitor through the displayport on another computer to see if the same happens.

    I await news.
