Hi, i've been having this problem for weeks now and its starting to get tiresome.

I've tried DISM, SFC, temp clean ,clean boot

None of theses seems to have worked in successfully upgrading my windows 10 to win 10 1909 ever since i re-enabled windows update

It seems my pc during restarting/installing windows updates then crashes, then it displays 'Undoing changes'

When i log-in it some's up with an error saying it failed:

FIRST_BOOT_FAIL

BEGIN_FIRST_BOOT_FAIL

This has happened more than once

I'm now tiring to  attempt a repair-reinstall or my windows 10 Pro 1709 (build 16299.1127) but im finding it hard to find sites to download sites to download an ISO with the same build(or higher)

EDIT: now i just want to update to the latest version, but my pc just keeps crashing or undoing updates during restarting

    Here! Take this link!

I remembered this now. It was from a YouTube channel's video. He posted a video showing how to install Windows 10 on Raspberry Pi. When I went there, I also saw x86 versions.

From the 1st drop-down list, select Windows (final version). Now click the 2nd drop-down list and go to the end of the list and find your desired version. Now proceed like that.

Download Rufus (as mentioned in @JohnDev's post) and select the device. Then select the ISO File you just downloaded. Then follow the on-screen processes.

I think this link helps you to install the ISO Media Creation File of 1709 version.

    Hello D_Burner,

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today. I understand you have a problem downloading Windows version 1709 ISO.

You can download older Windows 10 ISO using Rufus. Please check the link below for instructions.

Please note that Windows 10 version 1709 has reached the "end of service" and you will no longer receive security updates making your system vulnerable to the latest security threats.

Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.

    Sincerely,

    John DeV

Thanks for the reply, yes did check that site as i heard of it recently ,

It's just that the download linkes seems to be dead when searching up older versions, windows 10 1709 there are the Sept 2017 update.

I need a 1709 OS build (higher than 16299.1126) as that's the one my pc has.

I read that to do repair install(keeping apps/files). the iso has to be the of same build number (either the same or higher)

    hope this helps

Can you do a rollback of Windows, if available?
