When trying to open a .jpg photo, I want to open it in Canon's Zoombrowser EX. The open with menu does not list it. How can I associate images to Zoombrowser so it will appear on the "open with" menu? The Zoombrowser program is in C: > Program Files (x86) > Canon > Zoombrowser EX > Program > Zoombrowser.exe

    Hello W.Otto, how are you?

I am an independent consultant and user like you!

    I'm happy to help you!

To select Zoombrowser from the "Open with ..." context menu follow the steps:

    > Right-click on the file you want to create the link

    > In the context menu, click on "Open with"

    > Click on the option "Choose another application"

    > A window will open with the title "How do you want to open this file?"

    > Click on "More apps"

    > Scroll the options to the end, and click on the option "Search for another application on this PC"

    > Go to "C:> Program Files (x86)> Canon> Zoombrowser EX> Program> Zoombrowser.exe" and select the executable

    Let me know what happened!

You mentioned that there is no value for ZoomBrowser in the registry, but in the screenshot it was there!

Did you try to restart the system after doing these processes?

The topic I sent suggests a tool too! You can try!

What is your version of Windows? An outdated version can cause problems!

    > Press "WIN + R", type "winver" and click "OK"

    > The version will be on the second line!

    Check for updates:

    > Open Windows Settings

    > Click on "Update and Security"

    > Click on "Check for updates"

    No it did not happen.

I followed Method 1 and 2 - see screen shots

ZoomBrowser EX still not added to "Open with" listing.

Next tried Method 3, that said it worked boy when I tried to open a .jpg file, the Open with still did not include ZoomBrowser.

Note in the 2nd Registry shot above, no values exist under ZoomBrowser.

    Now what?

But when you select ZoomBrowser to open the file through "Open with ..." once, it will be in the list the next time you click "Open with ..."

    This did not happened?

If not, try to follow the steps in this forum:

Thanks for your response. Yes that will work but what I am looking for is a way to add ZoomBrowser (Zb Module) to the initial list that comes up when you hover over "Open with" - - see attached.
