Which version and build of Windows are you running on?

To check it, open Run (press Win key + R) and type winver and hit Enter. Take a screenshot of the pop-up that comes up after hitting Enter. Save the screenshot somewhere, come to this page, hit Reply, click the button which has the icon of a picture, choose Choose file, select the file, and click Submit after the image loads.

Pinning Cortana can be done in 2 ways:

    1. Open Windows Search in the taskbar and type Cortana. Right-click the app in the search results and choose Pin to taskbar. This is the end result:

If you want, you can slide it near the Task View button to make it beautiful, like this:

    2. Right-click the taskbar and click Show Cortana button. This will be the end result:

    Hi Sam

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

Right click your Taskbar and choose 'Show Cortana Button', does that restore Cortana to your taskbar?

If not, is Cortana actually installed on your PC, if not, you can install Cortana from this link:

Guys, he might be talking about the older version of Windows 10 which has Cortana in the Search box. Many have been asking about it in the internet.

"I tried everything" doesn't tell us what you've tried, so you run the risk of hearing the same solutions again.

    Start menu > Cortana > right-click > More > Pin to taskbar
