Hello,

I have a problem with my gaming mouse from SPACER model SP-GM-02.

The model comes with side buttons which I want to disable. When pressed while browsing, these buttons go forward or back. This is really annoying because I keep pressing them on accident.

How do I disable these buttons?

Please, let me know.

    Hi Vivianne5

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

Windows 10 only has settings for a basic mouse, it does not have settings for a gaming mouse with extra buttons

If your mouse does not come with specific software to map those buttons, then you will need to download a 3rd party utility like the excellent free X Mouse Button Control to set your preferred actions for those buttons . . .

Windows is a bit out of date regarding mice and does not have an allowance for more than the standard mouse.

I've never heard of this brand mouse, but all the mice I've used that have side buttons also have a program\app that

you can use to disable or customize button assignments.

If the mfg of your mouse has not such program you will need to do a www search and seek out a 3rd party mouse managing program.

    • I'm not clear if this one allows you to disable the side buttons, or just allows you to assign other functions....
