Windows 7 updates

I'm still using Windows 7 and want to know about the updates required.

The information I checked last week was a few years old.

I've read on some forums about a Simplix Update Pack and wanted to know if this was safe.

    Thanks for the information.

I do know about the link from majorgeeks, but was wanting to know if it's actually safe to use.

Editing this ... I just read the link from Microsoft. Can you please explain to me in simpler terms if I can still get the updates as it's not 100% clear to me.

Does this "SHA-2" allow to still get updates even if it's manual?

By the way I have Windows 7 Professional with SP1.

    That is 3rd party software.

This is what it is about:

Support for 7, including Windows updates, ended in Jan, 2020.

    If you ever reinstall 7:

Important: Read about changes to how Windows 7 obtains Updates after a clean install until end of Support in Jan, 2020.

Microsoft stopped providing security windows updates for Windows 7 systems more than a year ago. You can continue to use Windows 7, but I recommend you install a top-rated antivirus program and ensure you have good and frequent backups.
