I have a Dell Inspiron 15-3567 laptop running win 10 & 1 TB HD 64 bit os
I did an initial backup then Maintained a periodic incremental backup on a western digital 2TB Drive
I was Having problems with my mouse and performed an Image Restore using my AOMEI Backupper Standard Software.
When I went to Launch win 10 after restore on startup I got a blue screen that read as so
“RECOVERY
Your PC device needs to be repaired
A required device is not connectedor cannot be accessed
Error code: 0xc000000e
You need to use a recovery tool. If you don’t have any installation media(like a disc or usb device), contact your pc administrator or pc /device manufacturer
Press Enter to try again
Press F1 to enter Recovery Enviroment
Press F8 for Startup Setting
Press Esc for UEFI Firmware Settings”
None of above worked and could not access my desktop so I had a win10 clean intall on a flash and performed that.
Then I also had all my data and programs on a separate drive and reinstalled all those
Took time but got everything working fine.
But now…….
When I launch windows at startup I get a blue screen with two window 10 boxes
Screen reads
“Choose an operating system
Windows 10 (on volume 3 ) will run automatically in 20 seconds
Then a window 10 box on volume 3
And another window 10 box
At bottom reads change default or choose otheroptions”
If I let the countdown run down or click the high lighted box window 10 opens fine
I think I once opted for the bottom box and the recovery screen I described above appeared.
And had to start all over again.
Keep in mind all is working fine now as long as I open volume 3
My questions…
1. Are there two operating systems on my drive?
2.Is there a way to safely remove the bottom box or that system
When I run MSCONFIG /boot it shows both
Windows 10 (c:windows) : current os; default os
Windows 10 (windows)
Your Help would be greatly appreciated

when I clcik apply a box appears that read
"Bitllocker Drive Encrypion is enabled on your OS drive. because these changes modify the machine's boot settings, the machinewill enter recovery mode at next boot and you will need to providea BitLocker recovery key or recovery password. Are you sure you want to proceed?"
I have no key or password
what do you think?
Hi Harvey
I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .
Rest assured, there is not two versions of Windows 10 installed o your system, that is a known bug after restoring your system with Backupper, the boot config just has two entries listed, it is an error
Open Msconfig again, select the Boot Tab, then select that bottom item (Windows 10 (windows)) and click Delete
That will remove that boot screen with the two versions of Windows 10 on Startup . ..
