Logitech Orbit/Sphere AF microphone not working in Windows 10......

I am unable to get Windows 10 Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.685) to enable me to use the microphone built into the Logitech Orbit/Sphere AF webcam plugged into my USB port.  The device manager shows it working properly.  But is does not work in Zoom or in Skype.  Nor in any other program that uses audio microphone input.  I'm stumped.  Please help.  By the way, the camera function is working as intended.  Tilt, pan, zoom all work from the Logitech Webcam Controller program.  Also, there is a mute/unmute button in the Logitech Webcam Software program that responds visually to clicking on it.  But still no sound is processed by the computer.  I just reviewed all the microphone settings and all the programs, including voice recording, are enabled.  Voice recording program does not work either.

Have you tried uninstalling the microphone device and installing it again?

    Are you using a desktop?

Can you go to "Sound" options and send a screenshot?

(I will attach an image of the screen I am talking about, please send yours.)

Thanks for responding.  I followed your script.  Camera still works but built in microphone still won't produce any sound, despite settings showing that the device is working.

Hi haldejong, my name is Felipe Lucas, Independent Advisor and Microsoft Windows user like you.

I'll be happy to help you.

Please try following the steps below:

    Windows 10 Camera Permissions

1 - Click the Microsoft icon and search for Camera Privacy

2 - On the page “Camera access for this device is on” click Change right below it

3 - If it is already On, turn it Off and then turn it back On.

4 - And make “Allow apps to access your camera” is switched “On“.

5 - Finally in the app list, make sure to turn on Camera access for Chrome you want to give permission to access your Camera. (If Zoom, Skype or another video conferencing tool is on the list, turn On too)

    Allow Microphone permissions

1 - Type “Microphone” into the search bar and go to Microphone Settings. Click Change and make sure it is On.

2 - If it is already On, turn it Off and then turn it back On.

3 - Turn on Allow apps to access your microphone.

4 - Finally in the app list, make sure to turn on microphone access for Chrome you want to give permission to access your microphone. (If Zoom, Skype or another video conferencing tool is on the list, turn On too)

Reset camera app on Windows 10

Resetting camera app can fix system glitches that may make camera not working on Windows 10 and give the app a fresh restart.

1 - On your PC, go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Camera.

2 - Select Camera app and click Advanced options.

    3 - Click Reset.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
