my usb microphone wont be recognized by my pc. ive looked up other people who have had the same issue and tried those methods to fix it, but nothing works. ive done everything from troubleshooting to reinstalling drivers and nothing of the sorts work. the light on the mic is on and every other thing i connect to the pc works perfectly fine its just my microphone. im not able to update any drivers on the mic its self because the mic does not pop up anywhere on my pc. ive allowed all access to my mice from apps as well.

    Good Day InarosH

My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.

I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.

First, please try to check if the USB Mic works with other device for us to isolate the issue if its on the computer or the USB Mic itself.

If the USB Mic does not work with other devices means the USB Mic is faulty.

If the USB Mic works with other devices, proceed with the steps below.

Here's the steps you can try.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Settings

    -Click Update and Security

    -Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter.

-Look for Speech and run the troubleshooter.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

-Expand the Audio Input and Output

-Look for Microphone driver that was installed

    -Right click and Update

-Look for "Browse my computer for driver

-Let me pick drivers available drivers

-Choose an old driver and use it.

    -Go to Control Panel

-In Control Panel, select Large icons from the View by drop down menu.

    -Select Sound.

-Select the Recording tab, then right-click on any empty place inside the device list and tick Show Disabled Devices.

-Right click the Microphone and click Enable.

-Right-click it again and select Set as Default Device.

-Right click Microphone and click Properties.

-Click the Levels tab, then drag the volume slider towards the largest value.

    -Click OK, then click OK.

Turn on Microphone Privacy in each app.

Select Start > Settings > Privacy > Microphone . In Allow access to the microphone on this device, select Change and make sure Microphone access for this device is turned on.

Then, allow apps access to your microphone.

Once you've allowed microphone access to your apps, you can change the settings for each app.

Restart your computer and check if the Microphone works.

If issue persist, let's download the updated driver.

What is the exact model of your computer?

To check the system model proceed with these steps.

    -Press Windows key + R

    -Type msinfo32 and hit enter.

-Look for the system model and provide it here.

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

sorry for the wait, no none of those options worked for me. every time i go to download any chipset or driver, it says its done installing, i click finish, it restarts my pc, and when i log back into it it just loops around and tries to make me re install what i just did. ive done that about a good 12 different times at this point. and for every other solution you gave, i cant even test if those work because the microphone just doesn't show up anywhere on my pc.
