    Hello Jtoftth,

I am Jaspreet Singh an independent advisor.

The adapter should have plug and play functionality. Have you tested the adapter with another system? Device descriptor failed error can also mean a faulty device.

yes, please note the issue is now solved, it indeed has plug and play.

The point to remember is , Plug in the ethernet cable to the usb adapter for it to recognize in plug and play by a win10 computer. (the led in USB to Eth adapter should light up, which happens only when you plug the ethernet cable to the connected usb device)

    Thankyou for prompt reply.
