Hi, so I have Among Us from the microsoft store on pc, rather than Steam. I want to try among us mods, but everything I can find is only telling you how to do it on the Steam version of the game. The issue I have is, I am not sure how my Among Us root directory folder. Anyone know where to find it? Microsoft store likes to hide their games haha.

    Hi YourWorstCringe

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

All Microsoft Store Games and Apps are stored in their own folder inside C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

That WindowsApps folder is the most protected folder on a Windows 10 system, and it is extremely hard to access, the reason that is so protected is to ensure the integrity of the Store Apps and Games

Microsoft strongly advice you do not change permissions on the WIndowsApps folder or any of the contained folders, you can cause all store apps and games to stop functioning and even brick Windows 10

If you want to find the exact path to the game executable:

Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)

On the Processes Tab, right click any column header and turn on the Command Line column

Expand that column as much as possible

Start your game, and wait a few seconds

Go back to Task Manager and in the Command Line column, you will see the path to the game executable

Normally you would download the files and copy and paste them into the root directory. the reason for this is because the root directory will run the mods with among us. I think. I would need to double check.
