Why is my printing not to scale?

Hi,

I tried printing a 10 x 10cm square with various software programs and on two printers but it seems everything is scaled.

the programs I used are:

Microsoft Word

Inkscape

Adobe Acrobat

The printers are:

Brother MFC-L2710DW

Epson WF-7720 Series

For example: in Word i set the top and side margins to 2.5cm and print a 10x10 cm square.

The actual margins are 2.85cm and 2.6cm. The sides of the square are 9.7 x 9.7cm.

This result is equal on all programs and both printers. Acrobat tells me the image is 10 x 10 cm.

I tried re-installing the printer drivers, everything is set to A4, scaling is off in Word, Scale to Paper Size setting is set to No Scaling.

Edit:

I tried "borderless printing". Now everything is too big.

    Hi,

As I said in my post. The printers are:

    Brother MFC-L2710DW

    Epson WF-7720 Series

They both have the same problem.

Windows is fully up to date, the printer drivers are up to date.

Sorry, I hadn’t seen the printers, but really, if everything is up to date with the printer system and drivers, it’s a matter of configuration on the printers, as I said I tested it on several programs, I can’t give you an exact solution, as it certainly is something you need to configure or change on the printer itself, sorry but I hope you understand me.

Have you tried to look in a manufacturer's forum to find out about it? maybe more people have been through the same problem with these printers, it's the best tip I can give you, see you later

    • Hello, from what I realized your problem is in the printer configuration or in the drivers, what is the printer, is it Hp? if so, I know that there is a program called HP Print and Scan Doctor to detect possible errors in printer drivers.

Your Windows is updated, from a windows + i and windows update to update

If the answer helped in any way, please mark it as answered, so you will be helping other users, your opinion is very important to us.
