Disable F-Lock behavior of the Fn-Key on Microsoft Surface Keyboard

Hi,

I've recently purchased a Microsft Surface Keyboard and this is seriously bugging me.

Is there some way of disabling this ... feature? I would like to go with the old (FN + Caps) for F-Lock and have the Fn button always act as an Fn button even if pressed by mistake.

More details

The problem is that Microsoft decided to kind of merge the Fn and F-Lock keys on the Fn Key.

So if you press it once it acts as F-Lock, changing the F Keys behavior. If you press it in combination with an F-key it acts as an Fn-Key.

The problem is that you can press it by mistake, and you don't understand why things aren't working until you lift your hand and check the F-lock status.

    Hi Gabriel

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

Sorry, no, that Fn key toggle cannot be turned off, that behavior is common across all Surface devices, and keyboards, there is currently no setting to change that behavior on that keyboard, the best option would be to send some feedback to Microsoft on the Feedback Hub in Windows 10, the more people that provide feedback, the morel likely they would be to provide that setting in the Mouse and Keyboard App for that keyboard . . .
