Mic monitoring windows 10

when I turn on the mic monitoring box on my windows 10 laptop it has a bit of delay is there a fix?

    Could you try this:

    Open Control Panel.

    Open Sound.

    Click the Recording tab.

    Double-click on the microphone you are using in the list of recording devices:

    Click the Levels tab.

    Click the microphone icon, shown muted below: The icon will change to show as unmuted:

    Click Apply, then OK.

    I dont get the unmute button in levels? Is it because im on my laptop?

    It's my pleasure to help you today. I know how frustrating this may be for you but I'll do my best to help you :)

    Go to settings and type in "sound".

    Select recording tab and select "microphone".

    Click on "Properties" button.

    Select "listen" tab and uncheck "Listen to this device".

    Hit "OK" and go the "Playback" tab.

    Select your playback device and use "Properties" button.

    Select the "Levels" tab and unmute the microphone.

    Please let me know if you've already completed these steps or if they are not working for you. I will be glad to dig deeper into a solution with you.
