I Have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and the issue is that I am unable to play call of duty warzone due to Directx 12 giving me this message, " Your Operating system is not supported. This can cause the game to run slowly and it may stop completely. Would you like more information on how to update your operating system? yes or no" if I press yes then it takes me to the main Microsoft website where it instructs me to do certain things which ultimately didn't work, I updated all my drivers, as well as redownloading my graphics card system. I looked deeper into the dxdiag files and it states that "Microsoft graphics hybrid" is not supported.

I am very confused as to what is the issue

please help

kind regards

    • Is your Win10 fully up to date - v20H2 ?

    - Are you able to click a 'continue' option when you get the error message, or is the only option other than closing the game to click

the link to the MS site ? If there is a continue option what happens when you select that ?

    • Also verify you are using the Desktop App option in Windows Display Settings > Graphics Settings (lower right pane).
    • Laptop or Desktop machine ?

Whether Laptop or Desktop the GTX1080 is certainly more that adequate for the game (except with Ray Tracing enabled).

"as well as redownloading my graphics card system"

(or updated the driver using the driver update tool in the GeForce Experience, which is also a good option).

    - If using a laptop it is best to get the driver supplied by the mfg of the machine vs the Nvidia site I linked to above.

    • If you are using a laptop I believe the 'Microsoft graphics hybrid' term relates laptops being able to switch from integrated to dedicated gpu.

If you do have a laptop one reason for this error would be if the machine is not switching to the GTX1080 when you launch the game.

This can happen if you don't have Windows Power Plan set to High Performance.

    • I've never used a laptop, but believe there is an option in Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings  to choose the preferred gpu

(I don't use the GF Experience, but probably there as well).

    • Another possibility if you are using a Desktop machine and have an integrated graphics such as Intel HD\UHD connected to a

second monitor that you are using in extended mode, is the game is detecting the integrated graphics. If so disable the second monitor.

    .

    Hi,

I'm Independent Advisor not Microsoft employee or support person. I have deep enough Windows knowledge and you may trust me. It's a pleasure for me to help others and I'll do all my best to help you.

Please check the name of graphic card in Device manager,

How old are PC and graphic card? Can you try GTX 1080 in another PC?

Unfortunately card may be faulty according your description.
