Hello there,

I recently bought an external keyboard to my laptop and I would really like to create a shortcut in which I could be able to increase or decrease the brightness on screen. The native laptop's keyboard has two keys in which I can easily perform this action, nevertheless in this new keyboard although I can customize some keys, I couldn't be able to find any command or something like that which do the same to assign to these specials keys.

Hope you can help me.

Sincerely

Naz

Well it is not too accurate. What I want is this, to set two keys in my new keyboard (some can be customized) like the f2 and f3 here. I've already done it with the sound up/down keys, but I can't find a way to do it with these ones.

    Hello, Naza-m
Well, there are no shortcuts for shortcuts but I know how to find a fast way which you can first do Windows button+A after you will see a brightness toggle.

Hope this is helpful for your problem

    Hello Naz,

As YOLOMAN posted, it would probably be easiest to use the brightness slider in the Action Center (Win+A) like in option 2 of the tutorial below for quick access to change the brightness level.

If you have a specific brightness level you would like to toggle between, then you could create shortcuts or .bat files using the command in option 5 of the tutorial below that could be used for this. If your new keyboard has programmable keys available, then you could also use this command with them.
