First thing you should have done was to check at HP to see if they support Windows 7 and supply Windows 7 drivers for that exact HP Model Number.
If they don't forget about installing 7:

After animating the Windows logo for 2 seconds, it hard freezes! This is by both USB stick and USB Optical Drive.
What's causing the hiccup? I read it might be due to USB 3.0 drivers missing, but I believe the ISO I used had them bundled.

Please explain. Are you trying to install Win7 on a laptop that came with Win10? when it hat process does that occur? What do you see on the screen?
