On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0x80070422' to display the error text.

It has been 10 days and no one replied. I want to fix it, install updates and upgrade it to windows 10 but i can't since it's not genuine. Slmgr -rearm doesn't work i've tried it but the error popped up. I tried updating my laptop it just says you may be a victim of microsoft i don't remember what it says but it didn't wanna update. I really want to fix this but nothing works. I've looked everywhere nothing worked.

Microsoft has Activation Specialists that can help you (actual human beings).It used to be that when you called the toll free number the advice was not to respond to any of the prompts and eventually you would be connected to a human being but that is not the way it seems to work these days (I just called and checked again).Click the Start Button/Orb and enter the following:slui.exe  4Press the Enter key, then choose your nearest location, then click Next:Call the toll free number:The first question will be do you consent to recording the call or do you not so make your choice to continue. Eventually you well get a prompt that says:

None of what you are doing may be helpful if your Windows is some pirated key but...

Most of the time when slui 4 reports an error like this:

That is usually an indication that the Software Protection Service is not running/disabled.

You can check to see in Services and it should be set to Automatic (Delayed start) and if not make it so and see if slui 4 works now.

Other than that I have no other ideas at the moment.

When i type slui.exe 4 in the run bar it says an error has occurred. When i click see details it says Code: 0x80070422.

This is a pirated windows some guys sold this to me and after 3 years of using this laptop it has this error. I checked google answers and nothing worked. My windows 7 has been normal for 3 years and this happened somehow. The key to activate windows is expired so now i can't activate it. Please help me.

Re-arming won't help you.

You can normally do that up to a max of 120 days only.

And neither will Microsoft help you as you say it is pirated software.

I suggest that you buy Windows 10 after checking its compatibility with your device.
