You probably need to consider the GT220 is legacy and not updated since 2016 https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/drivers/
342.01 is the latest from Nvidia so out of support, going forward this may or may not work with newer versions of Windows 10.

no idea what happened but the nvidia driver 263.11 got installed and seems to work so far
