Volume Bar stuck at 100 on left side of screen on Lenovo Yoga 300 - SOLVED

Ok Guys & Gals, after spending hours on trying to fix this on my Lenovo Yoga 300BY thinking it was software.......IT ISN'T, it's a hardware issue.

For some reason reloading windows solves the problem but only temporarily, sometimes for a few days or a few weeks but eventually it comes back. Disabling HD Audio will disable it until next boot.

I disconnected the ribbon strip from the small audio pcb and the display disappeared on the screen. I replaced the board with a new part from eBay for less than £10 and the problem is now solved.

Despite what a lot of people say, if you have the audio display screen stuck in the top left corner of your screen stuck at maximum volume and more likely the touchpad doesn't work either, then replace the little printed circuit board that has the up and down volume keys on them. It's a 5 minute job.

Did you not read my post or fully read the title - SOLVED.

My post was merely trying to help others like me who had spent hours reloading windows and drivers one by one only to find it's a hardware issue and not software. A new volume button board solved the problem.

    -Right click and hit Restart.

Restart your computer and check if the Volume Bar still stuck.

No worries Carlo TJ. I guess you are used to people posting problems and not solutions. You take care and stay safe too.
