Hello, how are you?
Welcome to the Microsoft community!
My name is Paloma B., I'm an independent advisor, I'm here to help you in the best possible way.
I understand that you would like to activate the emoji panel.
The use of emoji, may vary from program to program, as some developers do not deploy functionality on your system.
Please check if the procedures below help you to solve this problem.
- Access the Windows Registry Editor by simultaneously pressing the Windows + R keys. When the dialog box opens, type regedit.exe and click OK.
- Navigate to the following path: Computer \ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Input \ Settings
If you prefer, copy and paste the address above to quickly access the folder in which we will work to activate your emoji panel.
- On the right side of the Settings folder, you will see several files listed by name, record and data. A little more to the right there is an empty space. Right-click in this area to create a new DWORD Value record (32 Bit) entitled EnableExpressiveInputShellHotkey
- Last step: right click on the new record you just created and change Value Data to 1. Now you can close the Registry Editor.
- Restart your computer and verify that the emoji panel now works.
I await news.
