I am from DYMO.

DYMO is making the label printers.

Consumer who update their windows 10 to latest version of update are having a problem with the printers.

Blank label are printed out.

If we ask them to roll back the update, it started working fine.

What could be the solution for it?

Please advise if this known problem referenced below has been resolved as of April 5, 2021? What is the long term solution to this problem going forward?

Product - Dymo LabelWriter 450 Turbo

Problem - Dymo printer printss blank labels. March 11, 2021, I uninstalled  Windows Update kb5000802 and paused MS updates for 7 days. Problem printing labels were resolved. On April 5, 2021, I attempted to print Dymo labels which resulted in the same blank label as noted on March 11, 2021. I uninstalled security update kb5000802 dated

March 29, 2021 and paused auto-updates for 7 days. Printer now prints labels correctly.

Here's some info which might be useful.

Dymo 400 Turbo on W10 20H2 with KB5000802 and DYMO label 8.7.3 prints with blank label

Dymo 450 on W10 20H2 with KB5000802 and DYMO label 8.7.3 prints with blank label

Dymo 450 on W10 20H2 after KB5000802 removed and DYMO label 8.7.3 prints label ok

Dymo 450 on W10 20H2 after KBKB5001649 installed and DYMO label 8.7.3 prints label ok

Dymo 450 on W10 20H2 after KBKB5001649 installed and DYMO label updated to 8.7.4 prints label ok

DYMO label release note for 8.7.4 has wrong version and date info. Looks like the 8.7.3 release note.

Changing printer from 400 to 450 total waste of time lol

Go ahead and try the garden variety Windows Update again. They appear to have fixed be bug since I just now was able to fully download and install the update in question, to wit KB5001649.  And then do a "winver" check using the "run" command by right-clicking the start button. That should fix you right up!

In December 2019, I was advised by Dymo to downgrade to Dymo Label V8.5.4, as subsequent versions have a bug that prevent the 'Smart Paste from Clipboard' function from operating correctly, a function that was essential for me to correctly print labels from lists such as addresses from within documents. Dymo also informed me that they had no plans to resolve this bug and indeed it still exists in V8.7.4. The only way I can use this function is to continue to use V8.5.4, remove both KB5000802 and KB5001649 and block Microsoft updates. I sincerely hope that Microsoft are still working towards a solution that resolves the fundamental problem rather than relying on manufacturers to rewrite their drivers.

Update 25/03/21: I apologise, a vital detail in my post above is incorrect. I had in fact removed KB5000802 and KB5001567 (not KB5001649!), in order to allow my older Dymo Label software to function normally. I installed KB5001649 yesterday on a number of machines, I now can confirm that the software is working for versions 8.5.4, 8.7.3 and 8.7.4. and Microsoft updates are re-enabled. So for me at least, Microsoft have provided a working solution - eventually.
