Hi, another question from a noob. I see in my PC environment variables at the bottom of the list a sole entry called ZES_ENABLE SYSMAN 1       .I am a sole PC home windows 10 user who only really games a lot. Should this be here, i can only find entries for this in the developer section of the docs and I do not have developer options enabled. I use a ethernet cable to my router so I am unsure what this is. Please let me know at my e-mail ******@outlook.com, or by phone australia 0414466007, thankyou in advance Rod

    Hi rodchristoffersen

Is it okay to be honest here?

If so, the first thing I would suggest is to stop touching the Windows Registry, I have 25 years coding and programming experience and I know the registry inside out, and that is what it takes to get to know the registry

The Registry is like a tree with many many branches, all relying on each other

Every change you make to the registry has consequences and if you do not know what the key you are working on does and what other keys are linked to that key, then you can easily end up corrupting the registry and Windows

My advice, is to backup your personal data, then clean install Windows 10 and all your software, and then do not touch the Registry, System Variables, .Net Frameworks, or any other system specific variables and you should have a stable system, I know this is not the advice you probably expected, but it is the best advice,

I have read your lengthy reply above and it is clear you have a lot of technical terms and some experience, but it is best to treat Windows as a black box and not mess with its workings

Hi Dave, that may be normal but there is much about my system that is not. When I go into the registry there are many guides, hidden keys, unknown users, page redirector protocols, partition and bios manager entries other than default, i see when i freshly download files an api-msi-wincore series of files with a 7dll at the start of it.  All my system apps get encrypted and then shut off and subverted to another server that I can't access or see even with !!S manager. I can't even shut them out with deny all user and disable all mimes. When I go into the registry it says translate systemOS to client/ slave/ child parameter and then locks me out of and redirects websites, even MS, to them where they mess with me and then tell me to reset.

This has been ongoing for over 3 years now and it is getting worse despite my knowledge base increasing drastically. Many apps run on my PC that if I shut them down simply crash the system, if I delete anything out of registry the same thing happens. There are references from time to time to a "approved app list" and "crash handler", and "restore to last known working version". I have functionality to all my games today, but their broadcast service still runs and they literally alter the game mechanics through api's/ exe. extensions that will crash the game if I delete them or alter them.

When I run stuff there is a constant stream of need approval for this and that, over the last month I realised that certificates made stuff work and began checking them. Most of the certificates were from 2012, I am not kidding, I checked the details of the drivers and there are hundreds of driver add ins that I can't remove alter, replace and they run despite windows certification service running. I have disabled spooler and it repeatedly runs ever boot up, as does game bar prescence write and intel graphics despite using nvidia.

Anyway, my PIN is disabled so I have to recieve a txt message for each log in, windows store does not run, and I had to change over to a non- microsoft account profile. Even in my desktop where I save, temp and download stuff there are these api-win, 7, crash handler, and image / icon changes happening. I only did a reset a week ago, and have done one restore since as I am doing lots of restore poitns now. Almost every time I start my PC.

What do you suggest I do and keep in mind I am a noob and can't handle complex measures. MS support were terrible and probably the hackers messing with me.

            Thanks,

    Hi Rod

With all the difficulties you are having with your Windows 10 installation, the best option is to backup all your personal files and clean install Windows 10 from a bootable USB, that will give you a stable and responsive operating system . . .

You can reinstall Windows 10 at any time and it will not cost you anything !

    Click this link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can download the latest Windows 10 ISO (Select Create Installation Media for Another PC), you can create a bootable USB flash drive (min 8GB) using that tool

Then, Boot your PC from the Installation Media you just created (change Boot Order in your BIOS) to begin installing Windows 10

Since you previously had Windows 10 installed and activated on that PC during the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 10 on this PC', and activation will not be an issue, your PC will have a digital entitlement stored on the Microsoft Activation Servers

Make sure you install the same Edition of Windows 10 (Home, Pro . . . etc.) you previously had installed to avoid Activation issues

    Hi Rod

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

Rest assured, having the Environment Variable ZES_ENABLE_SYSMAN is normal and is required for some device driver on your systems, including oneAPI to provide information on Intel GPU's and a setting of 1 is the normal setting for that variable . . .

Yeah dave, I learnt that last month, i now do a back up before doing anyhting like that. But this is what i just got from the microsoft store trying to redownload nvidia control panel as it and discord dissappeared when I last reopened my PC, I will post the scipt it displayed when I hit install....

s app can Access all your files, peripheral devices, apps, programs and registry
    Access your Internet connection
    Microsoft.storeFilter.core.notSupported_8wekyb3d8bbwe

Um, so there is clearly something not right and it bugs me.

As for your suggestion, I have just done that last week and it happened again, fully encrypted and dissappearing apps, system settings being disabled and reconfigured by unknown peoples and users. I have been doing this continually for 3 years now, over 3 PC's. I use iis management to try and lock down my PC but they use integrated scripts, hidden keys, all manner of stuff I knwo nothing about. Resetting the PC does not work. As soon as I plug in the ethernet cable I get driver updates, 35 of them this last time where they udate and do silent insalls of these guides and then lock  out updates of other drivers and make them exclusive with these system partitions. I don't know how to convert my PC back to a normal windows 10 Home 2020 version. In the microsoft accoutn page it says I am running  a 2009 version of windows 10 which in microsoft says is a dveloper server version. I only bought this PC 8 months ago,

    Please help em.
