Good day Jack_079gg! I am Independent Advisor Paul R. and also a Microsoft/Windows user like you and I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. I understand that you are getting a message that your virus and threat protection is managed by your organization. Kindly check and try the methods/steps below and see how it goes.

    Method 1:

Check first if your PC has any form of malware that might have caused this issue and ensure that you are not using a 3rd party anti virus app/program

    • Head over to this link below to download MalwareBytes and install it as well

    https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thank...

    • While you still have or still using MalwareBytes is that you need to change the setting first in order for it to run side by side with Windows Security/Defender and you can do that by going to it Settings (gear icon) and under Security ensure that that the toggle slider for "Always register Malwarebytes in Windows Security Center" is off
    • Once done then you can check and scan using MalwareBytes and check if it will detect anything and if nothing is found then you can uninstall it

    Method 2:

    • Press Windows key + R and this will open up the run box and then type in services.msc and press Enter or hit OK
    • Look for the below services and double click on it and then Stop and Start the service whichever is applicable and change the Startup type to Automatic

Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection Service

    Windows Defender Firewall

    Windows Security Service

    • After doing the above, restart your PC and check it again

    Method 3:

    • You can also check out the link below and refer to the fix provided by Kapil Arya
