    Windows 10 Home Edition 20H2, build 19042.928. I tried these steps and they didn't work.

    I don't want to do a clean install of my OS. Is there any other way to fix this issue? How come the reset wasn't enough?

    Hello Krishiv,

    I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Windows user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today. What is your current Windows version and edition? Press Start then click Settings(Gear icon), select System then About.

    Please try the following methods below.

    **Reset the Microsoft Store cache

    Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

    Note:

    A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close and Microsoft Store will open automatically.

    **Check the Microsoft Store Install Service

    Press the Windows Key + S and type in services.msc.

    Find the Microsoft Store Install Service and double click, If the status is Running, right click it then select Restart

    If Disabled, change it to Automatic, click Start and click OK.

    Reset the Microsoft Store app in Windows 10

    Press Start then search Apps and Features

    Find Microsoft Store in the list

    Click it then select Advanced options

    Select Reset then restart your computer

    **Re-register Microsoft Store app and built-in apps via Powershell

    Windows key+X then select Windows Powershell (Admin)

    copy and paste the commands below one at a time then press Enter. Please ignore the red errors and let the process complete.

    Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Restart your computer

    Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.

    Kind regards,

    Hello Krishiv,

    Thank you for updating me with that information. Resetting the PC is not guaranteed to fix the Microsoft Store issue. Clean Windows Installation usually fixes this type of issue if all else fails. This may not be the answer you expect but performing a Clean Installation is your last option.

    Kind regards,

    Hello Krishiv,

    Thank you for updating me with that information. I apologize that this did not resolve the issue.

    If this does not work, you may need to consider performing a Clean Installation of Windows 10.

    Important: Back up your important personal data and files to an external hard drive or USB flash drive.

    Download the Media Creation tool(Click Download tool now). Use the tool to "Create installation media (USB flash drive at least 8GB in size) to install Windows 10". Instructions inside the link.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

    Please try checking the link below for more details.

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2376-create...

    Insert the USB Installation media into your computer. Please change the boot order in the Bios Settings. Boot your PC from the Installation Media you created.

    Note: To avoid any activation issues, Please make sure to install the same Edition of Windows that was previously installed on your system.

    Kindly refer to the link below on how to perform a Clean Installation of Windows by Greg.
