Ok...thanks for the info.  It basically did the trick with some minor hickups but here is the fix.

    01.  You need to find a unzip program to decompress RAR files.

    02.  Go to Mega Games or another site, like GamecopyWorld.  I used gamecopyworld.

    03.  I searched for NoCD fixes for Call of Duty patch 1.4 and NoCD fixes for Call of Duty United Offensive (patch 1.51)

    04.  Once decompressed put them in their own folders on desktop for safe keeping for later.

    05.  Go into the programs folder in windows (x86) and call of duty folder.

    06.  make an old version folder for the original call of duty and offensive executable files.  Move the originals to them.

    07.  Now take the NoCD executables you decompressed and put them in the Call of duty folder in windows\programs x86/callofduty.

You should be working now.  I installed Call of duty first, then did the above to see if it worked.  Then installed Offensive and made sure

Call of duty still worked, then followed the above for Offensive.

Dang that was confusing until I got your help pointing me in the right direction.

MegaGames gave me trouble downloading, as my system blocked that download.  Gamecopyworld has pesky adds, but it will download for you.

Yes, assuming your are using the disc based version of the game the run as admin error I assume your are seeing is bogus.

The real problem is a so called 'security' feature MS built into Win10 (and which was added to Win7 via an update around the time of Win10's launch)

MS's DRM Blocking prevents any disc based game that uses SafeDisk copy protection from launching.  More details in my post at  ---this thread---

Short story... You need to use a noCD fix\hack to run any disc based game that uses SafeDisk.

    https://megagames.com/games/call-duty

Option 2 - buy the download version of game from anywhere other than the Monopoly$oft store... It's at the jacked up price atm,

but if you wait for a 'sale' you should be able to get it for up to 75% off.

    "It warns of viruses etc."

    • Yes, Firefox and some AV's will block the download, but that can be circumvented (I commented on this in the linked thread).

They are really just playing big brother. I saw a thread on a Malwarebytes forum about five years ago

(when they blocked one of my noCD's that I'd been using for years) going on about noCD being illegal, blah, blah, but I haven't had

a Malwarebyte system scan flag one since that time, and I often download and scan the files I link to on these forums with

Avast and Malwarebytes, but I've never come across an infected noCD fix.

Having said that, I don't trust Game Copy World as much as Mega Games. Largely because the format the puts me off, and I feel

uncomfortable linking to the site on these forums becaue of their adds. I've been using MG since 2004... Always hated having to use the CD\DVD.

    - I've kept all of my fixes (about 80 of them), and have one for COD and COD-UO (all the way up to COD4).

I don't reckon using Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider is as safe as a noCD because this allows the secdrv.sys file to run, and the reason

MS are blocking this driver is because it has admin access rights, and is theoretically open to attack.

A noCD tricks the game into thinking it has run the disc check and does not invoke the secdrv.sys driver.

    • Yes, it's interesting how some games will launch multi-player mode without a noCD fix. It may be that even before DRM Blocking

the secdrv.sys driver caused problems with multi-player mode ?

-Good to hear you worked things out on your own. I generally don't give instruction how to use the noCD, until the OP asks how it's done.

This and many other fixes are simple .exe replacements (I used to pop the original in a new sub-folder in the games directory for backup),

but some of them have quite a few other files that replace the originals, while a few have an extra new file.

    • Mega game downloads have an extra letter at the end of the .zip file ( a 'd' I think) that they tell you to remove before unpacking the files,

but they will often unpack if you fail to remove the letter.

    Cheers - BD

I installed Call of Duty along with the Call of Duty United Offensive expansion pack.  I made both sign in with administrator.  I ran compatability checker to run with xp service pak 3.  I found a tech site that said one thing to try was downloading the Driver Signature Enforcement Tool.  You Enable Test Mode,

then Sign a System File, and look for SECDRV.SYS int he C:\windows\system32\drivers folder (which it wasn't, I had to copy it from the cd and put it there), then using the program click on the secdrv.sys and sign it, restart, then run the program with TEST Mode enabled again.  It didnt work.  I tried going to Megagames and I found a couple of patches and a no cd file, but couldnt download it for some reason.  I tried the direct link and it said unsecure so couldnt get past that.  It warns of viruses etc.  So not sure what to do to get past this.  The weird thing is when you click on the Multiplayer icon it opens up, but when you click on the single player option in multiplayer it does nothing.  Oh,..I dont get errors or anything, the Single player just doesnt respond.
