Media Creation Tool 20H2 does not work

I have Win 10 Pro 20H2 (19042.906) installed, and I am trying to use the Media Creation Tool to create a Windows 10 .iso file. The tool progresses to the point where it shows "Downloading Windows 10", but the progress remains at 0%.  I've tried several times, saving both the iso or creating a USB boot drive.

No error messages, just the spinning progress wheel and no file. Not even an initial file gets created. I've tried both hard drives as destinations for the iso, and an 8GB USB stick for the USB option. Nothin'.

It does the Terms & Licenses, Getting a few things ready, Upgrade or Create option (choose create), Language, Media choice, destination, and then this forever ...

I have the same build as you but Windows 10 Home and the Media Creation Tool downloads the ISO in around 2 or 3 mins. (before the verify)

Do you get any error messages. Do you use a 3rd party antivirus, if so which one.

I assume you save the tool to your internal drive, run it then save the ISO image to an internal drive.

Thanks. The reason I was creating the iso was to switch from my old HDDs to an NMVe drive. My intention is to do a clean install of Win 10 on the ssd, and then re-install my programs and copy over the rest of my files. Yes, I know this will take awhile, and I probably won't copy everything over (do you really need to clean out what's essentially an infinitely large closet with a built-in search function?). One of the HDDs will likely remain installed with all that remains.

I haven't figured it out, but since it worked from my old Win 7 laptop, I have my USB Win 10 installation disk. That's all I really needed.
